About 80km to the center of Bac Giang city to the East along the Luc Nam - Luc Ngan - Son Dong - Quang Ninh route, to An Chau town of Son Dong, the forest road leads to Khe Ro primeval forest.
The primeval forest in An Lac commune, Son Dong district has an area of 7,153ha of which 5,092ha is natural forest. The forest is home of 236 species of plants, timber trees, 255 species of valuable medicinal herbs. In the forest, there are also 37 species of mammals, 73 species of birds, 18 species of reptiles, especially 7 species of rare animals. This is the typical primeval forest of the Northeast region of Vietnam, nestled in two crevices of Khe Ro and Din. The East and Northeast borders with Dinh Lap district of Lang Son province, the South and Southeast borders with Ba Che district of Quang Ninh province, the North and Northwest belongs to An Lac commune.
Living around the primary forest reserve are people of two Dao ethnic villages: Pac Duoc and Khe Din. At present, Khe Ro primeval forest in particular and the West Yen Tu forest in general still retain its pristine appearance, which is very suitable for ecological tours, meeting the needs of studying flora and fauna systems.
Day 1:
- Morning: You depart from Bac Giang City to visit Khe Ro primeval forest, explore the rich flora and fauna and the wilderness of the forest.
- Noon: Have lunch and relax in the forest, enjoy fresh air in the primeval forest.
- Afternoon: You are free to climb, visit the primeval forest and bath in Khe Ro stream.
- Evening: Have dinner and rest at An Chau Town, Son Dong District.
Day 2:
- Morning: Visit some locations of Tay Yen Tu Nature Reserve and visit the site of Son Dong factory in Thanh Luan Commune, Son Dong District, listen to the introduction about the scale and progress of construction. Then you take the car to visit Khuong Than Lake, Luc Ngan district. Lunch at Chu Town - Luc Ngan.
- Afternoon: Take a boat to visit Khuon Than Lake, walk under pine forest canopy. Enjoy the cool air of the lake.
- 15:00: Get on the bus back to Bac Giang City. End program.
